It's Thrifty Thursday! Be excited, very excited. It was a wonderful thrift trip this week to Savers on Monday.Thrifty Thursday' Tip of the Week: Buy ahead for your children! When plugging through the racks always look for things that will fit your child next season, next year or years after. I keep a large tupperware container in the back of the baby's closet full of ' next season' finds. It is currently stocked with items ranging from 18months, 2T, and 3T. It will save you a ton of money as you won't have to shop during the season, i.e .buying spring clothes now. Stores prey on the ' buy it now' parents. I know... sick!
In purchasing ahead we have found some wonderful pieces that set the tone for my son's wardrobe, then we fill in with newly purchased items like t-shirts and socks.
If you are worried about your little one not fitting into the clothes that you buy ahead remember many clothing companies make ' grow with me' options like extra cuffs, waists that cinch with elastic and longer hems.
